Erasmus Misja Kristoffer Rasmussen was born in Copenhagen (Denmark) in 1971. He studied firstly in Thorstedlund, at the Art High School, and then, after visiting various academies in Europe, opted to continue his education in Milan, graduating from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.

His favorite material is clay, through which the artist makes his mark and moulds his vision of the world. With his genuine, poetic, and empathetic gestures he conveys human expression, modelling pure emotions which at a certain point become concretely harmonized into the eternal semblances of bronze, the destination of his artistic act.

Classical inspiration, tempered by a contemporary minimalism, animates Misja's work. It reflects the figurative tradition, rooted in an extremely pared-down aesthetic in which beauty and proportion emerge as two quintessential values.
