Alongside its exhibition programme, Von Racknitz + Baer works privately with collectors on acquisitions, private sales and the development of their collections.

Through its international network of artists, galleries, collectors and institutions, VRB provides access to selected works across the primary and secondary markets — from emerging practices to established international positions.

Our approach is personal and research-led. We work closely with collectors to understand their interests, identify opportunities and build collections with coherence and a long-term perspective. This can range from sourcing a particular work or artist to developing a collection over time.

Our advice extends beyond the gallery programme. Where appropriate, we source works directly from artists, galleries and private collections internationally, and advise on private sales, valuations and the placement of individual works.

Through the gallery and its wider network, we also facilitate studio visits, private viewings, introductions and access to artists, exhibitions and collections.
