About
A gallery model built around artists, collectors and long-term relationships.
Von Racknitz + Baer is a contemporary art gallery founded in Berlin in 2020 by Leonie von Racknitz and Moritz Baer. The gallery works with an evolving group of emerging and established artists internationally, developing exhibitions, placements and long-term relationships around their practices.
For VRB, a gallery does more than represent artists to collectors. It participates in the cultural and economic ecosystem it helps create — collecting alongside its clients, connecting artists across generations and geographies, and building relationships beyond individual exhibitions and transactions.
Alongside its exhibition programme, VRB works privately with collectors on acquisitions, sales and collection building. Through its international network, it provides access to works across the primary and secondary markets, combining curatorial perspective with an understanding of the wider art market.
Drawing on experience across art, venture capital, finance and technology, VRB approaches the gallery as an evolving model — one that can collect, invest and build alongside the artists it supports.
This philosophy also forms the basis of VRB Collection, a shared contemporary art collection built around long-term participation in the artists and relationships developed through the gallery.
